Alocasia 'Polly' (African Mask). Propagated and pre-potted houseplants are perfect for new plant parents, individuals who consider themselves as having "brown thumbs" (the “I kill every plant” person), and anyone who prefers not to wait endlessly for their plant cuttings to grow.

How it works:

  1. You will receive a successful starter plant, a thoughtfully selected pot crafted from all-natural materials.
  2. You will have the option to select from healing quartz crystals, pebbles or stones, or just plain soil on top of your plant (see below for descriptions). Your plant will also come with  a wooden stick to measure soil wetness and dryness as well as an eco friendly plantable seed TPP card.
  3. You will have the option to pick up from my home (in the enclosed "Prop Pot Greenhouse" in the driveway) or have local delivery (within 18 miles of Yarmouth, ME). Voilà!

          Plant Care

  • Light: Alocasia Polly needs bright, indirect light, ideally 6-8 hours a day. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. If it's in a low-light environment, the leaves will get smaller and the plant won't grow well.
  • Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy, especially during the growing season. Allow the top inch or two of soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Reduce watering in the winter when the plant is dormant. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so avoid letting the plant sit in water.
  • Humidity: Alocasia Polly loves humidity, ideally 60-80%. You can increase humidity by misting the plant, placing a humidifier nearby, or using a pebble tray.
  • Temperature: Alocasia Polly prefers warm temperatures, around 70-85°F
